The California Supreme Court finally got it almost right on Tuesday, May 26. Same-sex (aka gay) marriage is now illegal in the State of California. Why shouldn't it be? California voters voted twice on this issue and made it clear that they didn't want same-sex marriage to be legal in California, but the liberal court system did not want to believe this truth. So it is good news that the California Supreme Court finally gets it. The other side of the issue, though, is that the 18,000 same-sex couples who were already married prior to November 0f 2008, when the California Supreme Court was ignoring the wishes of California voters, will remain married! This seems odd, because how can same-sex marriage be legal for some gay couples, and illegal for the rest? I am totally shocked by ABC's decision to air a gay lesbian marriage on " All My Children ", an ABC daytime television soap opera, on Memorial Day, when children and teens are home from school. Not only were children and teenagers, especially vulnerable female teenagers, able to watch two women being married, but also kissing on the lips. This outrageously liberal scene was aired on KABC TV's "All My Children" just a short time ago, but note that "All My Children" is aired all over the country, maybe the world, in whatever time zones are appropriate for any given area. There is no way this can be an accident, seeing as the California Courts are expected to make an official decision Tuesday, May 26, about whether the voters of California get to see their Vote Against Gay Marriage upheld or ignored. Annie Wersching is a newcomer to 24 , this being her first season on the Fox TV show. I must say that she is fantastic as the equally new character, FBI Agent Renee Walker . Renee Walker gradually becomes a sort of female Jack Bauer, and Annie Wersching is so good in her portrayal that I almost believed that Jack Bauer is going to die, and that she will succeed him as the new hero. I no longer believe this however, due to the final few moments on Monday night's final episode of 24. In any case, Annie Wersching deserves to be nominated, and win, an Emmy for Best Actress. She added so much vitality to Series 7, and, if the producers of 24 actually do kill off Jack Bauer (still don't think that's going to happen), she would be a fitting replacement. The final episode of Season 7 on Fox TV's 24 Monday night hinted at the strong possibility that Jack Bauer (portrayed by actor Kiefer Sutherland) will still be alive in Season 8. In the last few moments, Jack Bauer's daughter asked the medical person in charge to do the stem cell procedure, implying that Jack will not die after all.
